DISvue keeps you informed of important developments in the display supply chain. We work closely with panel manufacturers and upstream suppliers to ensure continuity.
Dear Valued Customers and Partners,
We would like to share an important update regarding the current IC supply situation.
Recently, we have received official notifications from our upstream suppliers indicating that major wafer fab capacities are now almost fully occupied by AI IC demand. As a result, competition for wafer allocation has become increasingly intense, and ICs for non-AI applications are beginning to face capacity allocation pressure. Panel-related ICs, in particular, have already been affected.
Based on the latest supply chain assessment, starting from mid-February 2026, panel ICs may face a high risk of supply shortages and/or significantly extended lead times (potentially exceeding 16 weeks). ICs that are not supported by pre-built inventory or not included in confirmed production and material planning may encounter difficulties in meeting the original delivery schedules.
In view of this situation, and to help minimize potential supply disruptions, we sincerely request your support and cooperation. We strongly recommend that you review the items currently under ordering and provide us with your forecasted demand for 2026. With this information, we will proactively coordinate with panel manufacturers and upstream suppliers to secure IC allocation and prepare materials in advance, enabling us to better manage resources and help ensure supply continuity for your projects.
Your early forecast will be highly valuable in assisting us with production planning and material preparation, and will help avoid uncertainties similar to those experienced during previous IC shortage periods.
